About Aidan.

Aidan has been involved in the West Coast Swing community professionally as a DJ, teacher, judge, artist, and community leader for over 20 years.

Bio: Since first discovering the dance in 2004, Aidan has worked towards mastering not just his own dance abilities, but his teaching and DJing skills as well. Recently reaching the level of Champion in J&J contests, after finaling at 23 events in 2023, Aidan has proven himself repeatedly as one of the most creative, connected, and technical leaders on the circuit. Aidan currently teaches in San Diego and Orange County, CA, and is available for private lessons throughout the day and evening due to his flexible work schedule.

  • Regularly teaches workshops and privates throughout the San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles areas, as well as around the globe at conventions and local events

  • One of the top West Coast Swing DJs in the world, headlining and staffing events such as The US Open, SwingTacular, The After Party, J&J O’Rama, MadJam, DCSX, City of Angels, Desert City, SwingTime, The Chicago Classic, Halloween SwingThing, and many more

  • Achieved the most placements, finals, and points earned in the All-Star leaders division in 2023

  • Was a founding board member of SoCal Westy, co-managing the setup and operation of Blackout Fridays

  • Co-leader and teacher of the first season of JT Swing Teams in Los Angeles, CA

Aidan enjoys teaching and DJing locally, as well as social dancing locally whenever he gets the chance. He can also be found attending and working at weekend events around the globe throughout the year, where some of his proudest accomplishments include:

  • 1st place in the All-Star/Champions J&J at Budafest 2023(the largest international event in WCS)

  • 3rd place in the All-Star J&J at The Open 2022

  • 1st place in the All-Star Strictly at Boogie by the Bay 2024

  • Regularly finaling and placing in All-Star J&J and Strictly divisions across the country

  • Qualified for the Champions division in 2024, and hit the points threshold of 250 All-Star points to require him to compete as a Champion in 2025

  • Competing and placing in Rising Star divisions with several valued partnerships from 2017-present
